Initially set up in March 1996 as an all-male model agency comprising both fashion and character models -- catering to Durban’s existing creative studios -- 3rd Millennium Men (as it was then known) was formally registered as a Close Corporation (within the Republic of South Africa) in 1999. 3rd Millennium Solutions (the trading name of the CC since 2002) is wholly owned by Jason Fiddler and has established a strong and positive reputation amongst clients and suppliers alike where the company is understood to be reliable, professional, efficient and cost-effective. 3MS has provided a diverse variety of services over the years, from corporate image consulting to dispute mediation, but the core of the business has always been creative design and brand management. Clients across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Durban and even small towns such as Senekal in the Free State and Mtunzini on the KwaZulu-Natal northern coast, have received remarkable results that suited or even surpassed expectation. With a Diploma in Marketing and Business Management, Jason ambitiously set out to open and run his own business in 1996, aged 19. With virtually no starting capital and a limited knowledge of computers, he undertook to learn from the ground up how technology could be harnessed in the fields of marketing and advertising in both practical and dynamic terms. Over the years a number of staff have come and gone, each contributing an indelible mark on the company’s output and at times enhancing its reputation. Throughout, Jason has always maintained a personal involvement in the processes of the studio and creating lasting relationships with clients, colleagues and suppliers alike. “I believe in finding innovative ways to create whatever is needed” Jason remarks, “as this is what has brought the company such incredible loyalty over the years. Approximately 80% of our client base is repeat or referral business and I believe that this stems from the good work that is done. Rick has worked closely with Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Mugg & Bean as Area Manager and Regional Brand Manager respectively. In these specific instances, he worked on below-the-line local store marketing with KFC and regional marketing (below- and above-the-line) for Mugg & Bean KZN. Rick is currently a self-employed consultant to, in particular, franchisees, advising them on aspects of operational, human resource and marketing functions, in their entirety, especially with respect to the development of comprehensive strategic, marketing and full business planning documents. It is here that Jason and Rick work closely especially relating to the development of detailed marketing plans. GEOFFREY CAMPBELL - Promotions Solutionsmith Geoff is an experienced manager whose expertise in logistics, promotional gifting, corporate clothing and branding allows 3MS to continue to provide clients with items of great value, at market-competitive prices. His role provides 3MS the management capacity in the Supply Chain area and supports our creative, branding and promotional planning with key clients. This is managed through his company, Quantum Concept, that handles the bulk of 3MS supply chain orders on its behalf. COLLABORATIVE WORK Rick & Geoff have worked with Jason (and it must be said, vice versa) for the last 6 years in a collaborative framework. Harnessing the unique and potent skill set that each other possesses, individual projects have been brought to fruition employing this professional ethos that their mutual relationships have developed.
